Collage Making
The beginning of a painting
It starts with a sketch...
Trying a new product Lien suggested. It's a clear gesso/primer. I like that it is clear, but it has a weird grit that I don't like. I end up sanding it a lot and I wonder if I just sand it all off. The verdict is out.
Sometimes I hate things and have to make big changes...
Still hating it, but it will work out someday.

Revisiting an Old Friend
Lien got on to me about using Liquin because it's toxic and told me to go back to using linseed oil. I fell in love with liquin because it was so quick drying and I've been using it for years. I loved it so much that I just sort of forgot about linseed oil. I had noticed that I was developing some sort of allergy to my paint, which is bad so I thought I would go back to the tried-and-true linseed oil. I put away the liquin for a while, and I think my lungs feel better. I'm using the Gamblin refined linseed oil and I'm really liking it. I'm glad I've come back to it.

Starting a blog
Hello, this is me starting a blog. A blog about art, thoughts, grad school, process and whatever madness comes into my head. Welcome.
